We provide highly reliable IT solutions to customers in a wide range of industries and sectors, combining the latest technologies such as generative AI and hybrid cloud services with Hitachi Vantara IT products. We listen carefully to our customers' problems and requests, propose and build the optimal IT infrastructure, and solve their issues. This is a challenging job that contributes to social innovation projects, and involves close collaboration with other departments within the company (such as the sales and design and development departments).

You will be responsible for planning, defining specifications, and designing and developing software for data infrastructure products. Working with overseas members on global projects, you will take on innovative development and build systems that protect customers’ data around the world. In addition to hardware control, you will also have opportunities to work across a wide range of technologies―such as designing and developing APIs and GUIs as user interfaces, and system design that integrates with platforms like AWS and Azure. This is a highly stimulating role where you can constantly engage with new ideas and technologies.

You will be responsible for planning, designing and developing hardware for data infrastructure products. Working with global parts and materials vendors, you will provide storage products that incorporate cutting-edge technology and innovative ideas, and that are highly reliable and perform well, to support the social infrastructure. You will also work on the independent development of environmentally friendly hardware, such as power-saving and recycled materials, to help create a sustainable society. This is a highly attractive job with a high social impact, where your ideas become products that are used around the world.

You will be in charge of quality assurance for data infrastructure products and services. You will gain a deep understanding of products and services through verification, and also provide customer support and maintenance services. This is a job that contributes to improving quality and customer satisfaction.

We are responsible for product strategy that shapes the future of data infrastructure products and determines the direction of a business worth hundreds of billions of yen. Working as one team with our overseas counterparts, we develop strategies based on market and technology trends as well as customer feedback, and deliver products worldwide―giving you a real sense of supporting social infrastructure.

We will build a just-in-case supply chain that can respond quickly to an increasingly uncertain global environment and reliably deliver products to customers in more than 100 countries and regions.
Production engineering engineers work closely with manufacturing sites in Japan and overseas to ensure stable quality and improve production efficiency. Supply chain engineers connect global parts suppliers and manufacturing, distribution, and sales sites through data, driving greater efficiency across the entire supply chain.

  • Expanding Hybrid Cloud Data Infrastructure Products and Services Globally

    We are developing products and services that enable safe and flexible data utilization in hybrid cloud environments that combine customers' data centers (on-premise environments) and the cloud in more than 100 countries and regions around the world. We are working to develop environmentally friendly products that provide data linkage and high-speed computing processing, centered on storage and PC servers. In addition, we provide AI infrastructure solutions that accelerate the business use of generated AI. We also provide these as a service, which customers can use flexibly.

    Hitachi provides high-performance, highly reliable data storage systems using hardware and software developed in-house. In particular, our proprietary virtualization technology has supported critical operations for mission-critical social infrastructure, such as finance and public services, on a global scale.In addition, we have software-enabled the technologies we have cultivated over the years and offer them on major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

  • Developing and Delivering a Generative AI Platform to Solve Enterprise Challenges

    In the use of generative AI, very large computing resources are required for AI training and inference. Hitachi Vantara contributes to the evolution of AI by focusing not only on pursuing the computing performance of servers, but also on technologies that improve the processing performance of storage that holds large amounts of data that form the basis of AI analysis, and by realizing high-speed file systems. These technologies and services are then packaged as solutions under the name “Hitachi iQ”, and are being rolled out globally in collaboration with Hitachi Vantara LLC. They are also being adopted as the infrastructure that supports the Hitachi Group's services that utilize generative AI, and are supporting the use of generative AI.
