Hitachi has been communicating the values required by the times through past expos.
Today, innovative technology is significantly changing our lives.
And what we need is the realization of Society 5.0, a society in which people can live vibrant lives.
The "Future City" exhibition aims to embody Society 5.0 through collaborative creation with sponsors and visitors.
Through the fusion of cyber and physical spaces, we aim to realize a society in which citizens' ideas are actually implemented—a human-centered society where everyone is the focus.
At "Future City", visitors can experience a society with citizen participation through virtual and real-world events, allowing them to envision the future and to bring home ideas about what we can accomplish together.
Together, we will explore the ideal future city for realizing Society 5.0.

Based on the concept “We can change the future ourselves,” this exhibition allows visitors to choose their own solutions to future issues and experience how they will change the Future City through simulations.
A theater-style facility that can accommodate 120 visitors at a time and offers an interactive experience of creating the Future City by choosing solutions using smart devices. Visitors can experience a cyber-physical system with advanced IT systems that link the cyber and physical spaces.
Visitors will receive SOS messages on familiar topics from a child from the future living in 2035. While learning about these future issues and the available options together with a guide, all 120 visitors will think about and decide on the solutions to these issues. Visitors can experience how the Future City will change according to their solutions through simulations in cyberspace.
A similar experience will be built in the metaverse to allow participants to join from outside of the venue.
